13:00 - 14:00 IEEE – P2413 Panel Session The IEEE P2413 Panel Session will be moderated by IEEE P2413 Chair Oleg Logvinov, and will discuss the IEEE P2413 - Standard for an Architectural Framework for the Internet of Things and the approach chosen by the group for this work. The panel will also address how IEEE P2413 will help minimize industry and vertical market fragmentation, ease implementation of cross-domain applications, and ensure that IoT achieves critical mass on a global scale.

They will explore the competitive benefits offered by IoT solutions for various industrial sectors according to different models and levels of adoption.

13:00 - 14:00 IEEE – Open Source Workshop The Open Source Workshop will provide an opportunity to brainstorm new developments and trends in open source. It will introduce a new open source project that is focused on solving challenges associated with the development of an architectural framework for IoT.

14:00 - 16:30 IoT TALENT Forum One keynote speech and a panel discussion with participants from industry, education and society who will share their views on the challenges behind developing, acquiring and retaining the best IoT talent. They will explore how to foster disruptive educational approaches in order to prepare people for the jobs of the future.

10:30 - 11:30 AIOTI – DG CONNECT Workshop IoT and the Digitization of Industry: The event will present European initiatives to address IoT space, the activities of AIOTI (Alliance for Internet of Things Innovatio), and the EC's strong support for IoT research and innovation through projects supported by the IoT European Research Cluster (IERC) and the IoT European Platforms Initiative (IoT-EPI).
The panellists will address the IoT business models, the landscape of IoT platforms and their role in creating value, while presenting opportunities for SMEs/start-ups to be involved in the open calls of the funded projects under the IoT-EPI
